Dear Editor: As a former high school teacher, the beginning of September always meant back-to-school. For students, it’s a time for many new things at school.

Dear Editor, Israel is demanding by the threat of war, that Iran disassembles its nuclear enrichment program or so the story goes.

It’s been a busy week and a bit for our local RCMP. We’ve seen a plane crash in a field near Jarvie that knocked out power in a wide swath of the county.

So begins another school year, full of promise for the hundreds of students who are stepping into the classroom for the first time and the thousands more in Pembina Hills, Evergreen Catholic and beyond.

It’s hard to believe, but summer is drawing to a close, and with it comes the start of a new school year.

It is like the Olympics without an opening ceremony, strawberries without cream, peanut butter without jelly, sugar without spice, Romeo without Juliet. Some things are meant to go together and we can only think of them in partnership.
