There are certain immutable facts we live with every day — gravity, thermodynamics and the like — but lower taxes isn’t one of them.

Dear constituents, As 2018 comes to a close, I am pleased to share an update on the past 12 months. For the first three years, it was a blessing to have my family with me in Ottawa whenever Parliament was in session.

With 2018 drawing to a close, it is important to reflect on where we are at, how we got here and where we are going. Clearly the story of 2018 would be the inability of Alberta oil producers to get their product to market.

A few months ago I received a call from a resident who was concerned that our new traffic lights at the corner of Kowalski Drive and the highway had a red light camera. My first thought was good.

We’re always amazed at the generosity of Westlock’s service clubs and businesses. Throughout the year they always step up to the plate for a wide variety of worthy causes — we know because we’re the ones taking the photos and writing those stories.
