Today I am at a loss for words. Like everyone else in our community, I too find myself struggling to come to terms with the results of the tragic events that claimed 16 lives on a Saskatchewan highway April 6.

Dear Editor, I am writing in regards to your article on Dolberg Lake. The Edmonton based Northern Lights Fly Fishing Club are planning on closing a well-used family lake to the public.

Albertans are cowboys and cowgirls but this is not the wild west. That is a fact we had all best remember, lest we find ourselves facing criminal charges of our own for taking the law into our own hands.

At the last Woodlands County meeting Fort Assiniboine Coun. Dale Kluin said he was upset about the province’s recent change to the fishing regulations at Dolberg Lake.

How much should municipal councillors be paid? That is the question Town of Barrhead Coun. Don Smith brought up when he asked administration to research what other municipalities were doing in respect to councillor compensation.

I am not a fisherman. If I was and I had a favourite lake or two, I might have some choice words for a group that wanted to come in and take away my access to it.

Dear Editor, Technology is like a big, sleeping ogre, ready to destroy our way of life. Technology is cold and mechanical. It has no heart … no feelings.

With the release of Budget 2018 last week, the NDP are trying to cement their dominant message into the minds of Albertans before shifting gears into full-blown election mode in the coming months.
