I have just read a letter to the editor re: Banning of certain dog breeds titled “Think first Talk later.” I am assuming this letter was directed at me and it's sad, hurtful, and untrue that a person would think I am degrading Dr Smith.

After reading your article “Doctor approaches town on dangerous dog bylaw,” I felt compelled to respond. I am not a pitbull owner, nor have I ever been, but my brother’s stepson and daughter were both raised with his pitbulls.

In a recent Town of Athabasca Council meeting, Councillor Verhaeghe correctly brought forward a concern from Dr. Smith concerning a dog attack.

Wow, where does it end? The federal Liberals are forging ahead with massive $25-$30 billion annual deficits, with no end or strategy in place, outside of lying to the electorate during the election a year ago about modest deficits.
