It's important to remember the governmental hierarchy; Municipal, Provincial, Federal. Each has their own separate jurisdiction. All own money in taxes go to the feds first and they drivvel back some of what they owe us. It should return to our provincial coffers which in turn are fairly (hopefully), meted out to all municipalities based on the line-by-ine presentaions, once a year with thier Ministries. If municipalities bypass this system, two errors occur. One, the feds apply their unfavourableconditions. Two, many (actually most municipalities) get overlooked.

This news is wonderful but I'm unsure of how the facility can add 9 more "beds"; a finite capacity building In my observation.

I'm thankful we Albertans are not getting pulled into another federal program. Keeping a watch on accountability is better handled closer to home.

Westlock is simply reclaiming public spaces as "Neutral territory". Very wise. True inclusivity!

Agreed. Albertans are supporting this reasonable, sane approach our Premiere is courageously taking. She's a libertarian but realizes that children are not mature enough to make permanent body/mind/psychological decisions. We know that every medication and even every surgery comes with risks. We weigh the risk benefit equation every time we choose interventions. Risk benefit analysis should be in the hands of parents not underdeveloped children. Research shows most gender dysphoria is temporary. Have a listen as well to the many trand ppl who are detransioning. The list if countries making the same wise path as Premier Smith, is long and lengthening. It is the right thing to do

If you don't like Bow Valley Credit Union or their CEO, Mr Oland perhaps you could be happier with Servus CU. Just check out their political leanings first.
I do know that RBC, TD, BMO, espouse leftwing leanings, so you have lots to choose from.

It's easy to label someone/anyone you disagree with, a racist, bigot and extremist As you point at them and have your hissy fit, note you have more fingers pointing back at yourself. Nothing is gained.
You can't conclude that those with a different view need to leave the country and their citizenship. Using that rationale would then be applied to you! Then everyone would have to abandon Canada.
Let's allow sharing of views, supported by reason and without attacking and name calling.

I support Premiere Smith and our Conservative government in this proposed policy, Parental Rights. It was the most supported issue at the AGM last November, with the largest attendance ever in Canada. Parents don't want teachers to be "secret keepers". Teachers who have a student for a few months. Don't presume to know that child better than the parent. That is purely egotistical.
I think all of us can agree that some actions/decisions/behaviors are and should be reserved for a legitimate mature age. Babysitting, staying alone at home, getting a tattoo, a driver's license, drinking, smoking, having a credit card, getting employment or full minimum wage . for a job, and so on. Making drastic sexual decisions, some irreversible, creating complex medical interventions, and life-long commitments to pharmaceuticals should not be a child's decision or their teacher's. Parents know that there are times to say "No" and times to say, "When you're an adult you can choose."

Does anyone really want PM Trudeau in charge of anything we do in Alberta? Direct funding deals between Ottawa and our municipalities , universities, hospitals or other establishments literally means Ottawa would call the shots. Wake up people. Be scam savvy!
Parents, how would you view your children making monetary deals with your neighbour or friends parents or sports coach without your consultation? Wouldn't you be suspicious of their motives? He who holds the purse strings holds the power.
