2025 Municipal Election REGISTER TO VOTE The Athabasca Municipal Election will be held on October 20th, 2025. With the proclamation of the Municipal Affairs Statutes Amendment Act, 2024 municipalities are required to maintain a Permanent Electors Register of residents who are eligible to vote. Any individual who wishes to vote on Election Day must first be registered. To be ready to vote, please confirm your information is correct and/or register to vote, please visit voterlink.ab.ca, from which the County receives its list of eligible voters. To vote in the 2025 municipal election in Athabasca County, you must be: • At least 18 years of age; • A Canadian Citizen; • Resides in Alberta & the person’s place of residence is located in the local jurisdiction on election day At the voting station, voters MUST provide identification that proves your identity and current residence.
