AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Texas Democrats showed up Monday for a special session but left open the possibility of walking out as a means to derail an unusual summer redrawing of U.S.

JASPER, ALTA. — The mayor of Jasper says he stands by a report commissioned by his town that criticizes Premier Danielle Smith’s government response to a wildfire that destroyed a third of the Rocky Mountain community.

PRINCE ALBERT — Wildfires in Saskatchewan have forced hundreds more people out of their homes, and officials are hoping for a bout of rain to contain the blazes.
