Whether or not the Village of Clyde continues to exist as its own municipality is not likely to be decided until after the October municipal election.

A suspected chimney fire tore through a Linaria-area home last Wednesday night, destroying the building and leaving a family of seven homeless. Westlock Rural firefighters received a call at around 7 p.m. on Feb.

Although the Westlock area has received a fair amount of snow this winter, it has not been enough to put undue pressure on the town, county and Village of Clyde’s snow clearing budgets.

The public transportation service in Westlock is not likely to terminated on the July deadline previously set out by town council.

A rash of truck thefts, attempted truck thefts and thefts from vehicles has Westlock RCMP looking for the public’s help catch those responsible. Cpl.
