WESTLOCK – A Busby man faces a handful of charges after police say they caught him, along with two co-accused from outlying communities, trying to break into a St. Albert storage facility.

In a March 14 press release, St. Albert RCMP note that with business break and enters on the rise, they have increased patrols in “hotspot locations” and around 9:30 p.m. during a March 9 patrol, they responded to a complaint of a possible break and enter in progress at storage facility. When they arrived, they were able to locate two individuals and arrest them without incident, while a third “believed to still be in the compound area” was eventually caught after the RCMP Police Dog Services was called in to assist.

Busby’s Steven Bolle, 40, along with 32-year-old Jamie Green, a resident of Morinville, and Dustin Waldbrook, 37, who hails from Bon Accord, all stand charged with break and enter, mischief and possession of break-In instruments — Bolle was also charged with failure to comply, while Waldbrook faces a charge of possession of a controlled substance.

All three individuals were held for a judicial interim hearing and Bolle was granted bail but remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in St. Albert Provincial Court April 3, while Green was released and is scheduled to appear in court the same day. Waldbrook was denied bail, remanded into custody, and is scheduled to appear in St. Albert Provincial Court March 20.
