Paving work at the end of 102 Street will continue until the end of next week.

A section of the road near the Husky gas station and Westrose Manor has been closed for the past two weeks for maintenance and paving.

“Any logistics that the homeowners need or any of the business owners need, we'll work with them and give them access,” said town of Westlock Director of Operations Robin Benoit. “Just for public safety, we keep the road closed for this type of work.”

The work over the past two weeks has primarily been on the sidewalk which was cracked and past its lifespan.

Benoit noted that work on the sidewalk would hopefully be finished by the end of this week with the road paving being finished by the end of next week, weather permitting.

The section of the road that’s closed can be bypassed through an alleyway that connects to 102 Avenue.
