The yard for seed pickup at the Westlock Seed Cleaning Co-op on the west side of Westlock will be closed starting Friday, June 14 to tentatively Monday June 24, plant Manager Wayne Walker said.
This is to allow for the construction of two cranes to be erected on site to do the bin structure lift. Walker noted he expects 26 super-B loads of equipment for the cranes, and will pretty much take up the entire yard. As a result he is asking anyone who still need to pick up seed at the plant they may have booked to please make arrangements to pick it up as quickly as possible prior to June 14. Calling ahead as the work gets closer to the date would be advisable, Walker added.
Currently, he added, the tentative date for the lift is the week of June 24 to June 28, and also added his thanks in advance for the cooperation of those with seed to pick up ahead of June 14.
