A long-weekend ATV accident sent one adult and two children to hospital after a head-on collision north of Long Island Lake Saturday evening.
RCMP report that local emergency medical services personnel and the Westlock County Fire Department responded at 5:37 p.m. Sept. 3 to Range Road 255A where two quads travelling in opposite directions collided at a curve.
Both the driver and passenger of the northbound ATV, as well as the driver of the southbound ATV, sustained non life-threatening injuries and were taken to hospital by ambulance.
The collision remains under investigation, although alcohol is not a factor, say RCMP. All three riders were wearing helmets at the time of the crash. of the collision.
