Division 4 (Southwest Athabasca area) incumbent Christine Bilsky is undefeated as of the Oct. 21 election.
With 193 votes, Bilsky remains on county council, while her competition, Brian Bahry, received 122 votes.
Bilsky ran against Bahry when he was an incumbent in the 2010 election; she won.
“I am very happy. It is an honour and a privilege, and the people have spoken,” she said. “It’s a great feeling.”
Bilsky knew there was a chance of being beat by her predecessor.
“I want to thank everyone very much,” she said. “I will do my best to represent everybody.”
Bilsky advocated for rural addressing prior to the election.
