It was a magical evening for Boyle’s first ever Moonlight Madness event last Friday.
Despite the wind, the event was a success, bringing shoppers from nearby and the surrounding area to shop for great deals.
Under the glow of the streetlights, horses Jake and Major pulled a sleigh for driver Willard Wolansky. The ride took passengers throughout the village and showed them the sights. Outfitted with bells, the horses made their own kind of Christmas music as they traveled.
The sleigh rides were a big hit, running from 7-9 p.m. Everyone got a chance to enjoy a ride and meet the horses.
The Boyle Chamber of Commerce organized the two-day event and expect to do so every year. During Moonlight Madness, businesses are open late for shoppers to take advantage of tons of specials leading up to Christmas. The event offers people a chance to get their Christmas shopping out of the way, and stay local while doing it.
