RCMP continue the search for 25-year-old Mandi Boucher, who was last seen Oct. 28 on the Buffalo Lake Métis Settlement and is believed to be with murder suspect Lloyd Wesley Boudreau.

Cpl. Ronald Bumbry said Nov. 25 that Boudreau was still at large, and Boucher remains missing and possibly with Boudreau.

A Nov. 17 RCMP press release states the RCMP’s Major Crimes Unit obtained a warrant for 22-year-old Lloyd Wesley Boudreau from Lac La Biche in connection with the first-degree murder of 26-year-old Michael Matthew Mountain.

Boucher was reported missing the same day Mountain was murdered in Lac La Biche, and the press release states Boucher is known to Boudreau. Investigators have been following up on tips that Boudreau and Boucher have been seen in Lac La Biche, St. Paul, Boyle and Edmonton.

A press release dated Oct. 29 states that at about 4:30 a.m. Oct. 28, Lac La Biche RCMP were called after reports of gunshots being heard in a residential area in the town of Lac La Biche. Upon arrival, officers located a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

“The victim was transported to hospital where he was pronounced deceased,” the release states, adding that the victim was identified as Mountain, who was also from Lac La Biche.

“Our investigators would also like to hear from anyone in the area who may have had surveillance cameras recording around the time of the incident,” RCMP Cpl. Curtis Peters states in the release. “Those cameras may have captured evidence that could help with the investigation.”

Boudreau is described as Métis male, 188 pounds and five-foot-six with black hair, brown eyes and tattoos on his neck and the right side of his face. Investigators do not know where he may be at this time and consider him to be armed and dangerous.

The RCMP describe Boucher as Métis, five-foot-one, and 150 pounds with brown hair and green eyes.

Anyone with information on Boucher’s whereabouts can call the Boyle RCMP detachment at 780-689-4081, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or www.tipsubmit.com.

Anyone with information on Boudreau’s whereabouts is urged not to approach him but to immediately contact the Lac La Biche RCMP at 780-623-4380 or their local police service.
