The Village of Boyle has a full plate for its Nov. 1 meeting, including a public hearing on an advertising bylaw, and a discussion around a public dog park.

Village of Boyle councillors are in for a busy night Nov. 1, with nine open session items, and three closed session items on the agenda.

First up is a continuation of a motion that anyone with a four-legged friend will care about — councillors will be presented with a couple of locations for a dog park in Boyle, after community concerns prompted Coun. Shelby Kiteley to bring the idea before her peers in the summer.

A public hearing for Bylaw 09-23, an advertising bylaw, will be held after the approval of the agenda — the bylaw would expand the places that the village is allowed to advertise public notices in under the Municipal Government of Alberta Act (MGA).

There's a further six items in the "New Business" section of the agenda, including a truck replacement for the public works department, as well as a sponsorship opportunity for the village with Wounded Warriors Canada.

Lastly, councillors will discuss three things that are covered under the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIP) — this week's closed session items are Administrative Planning, Third Party Privacy, and Intergovernmental.

The agenda can be found here, and the meeting will start at 7:00 p.m., in the Village of Boyle council chambers.
