BOYLE — Alberta Health Services (AHS) has temporarily closed the Boyle Healthcare Centre after safely evacuating the facility on May 6 in response to escalating wildfire conditions and an official evacuation order for the area.
No patients were on site at the time of the evacuation. The facility will remain closed until it is deemed safe to reopen.
Emergency Medical Services remain in the region to respond to urgent medical needs. Residents experiencing a medical emergency are advised to call 911.
All outpatient appointments for lab services, diagnostic imaging, public health, and mental health programs in the Boyle area have been postponed. AHS has confirmed that clients will be contacted directly to reschedule once services resume.
Up-to-date wildfire resources, including air quality advisories, emergency preparedness tips, and mental health supports, are available at ahs.ca/wildfire.
Alberta Health Services delivers health care to over four million Albertans and continues to focus on reducing emergency wait times, improving EMS response, expanding access to surgeries, and enhancing overall patient care across the province.
