UPDATE: One man airlifted by STARS after Highway 663 crash

One driver hospitalized while other treated on scene

BOYLE – One man is in hospital after a vehicle crossed the centre line and collided head-on with another vehicle on Monday near Boyle. 

According to a Dec. 21 press release the crash, which saw one 44-year-old Boyle resident airlifted to an Edmonton hospital by STARS, occurred when a vehicle travelling eastbound on Highway 663 crossed over the centre line and collided head-on with a westbound vehicle on Dec. 19. 

The other driver, a 72-year-old also from Boyle, was treated on scene for minor injuries.

While the RCMP continue to investigate the cause of the collision, no further updates are expected.
