If you think your tap water smells or tastes funny, you’re not alone.

Summer villages are open to discussing their future financial contributions to municipal services in Athabasca County. That’s the message Bob Yontz, Mayor of the Summer Village of Island Lake, had for county council after the Oct.

Three area schools have fallen below critical minimum enrolment numbers. Smith, Rochester and Grassland Schools have all been flagged and reported to trustees on the Aspen View Public School board.

Over 150 women filled the Athabasca Seniors Centre last Friday for the second annual Road To Hope Fashion Show Fundraiser. The event was held to celebrate fashion while raising awareness and funds for local charity Road To Hope. The night raised $3,589 in donations and door-prize ticket sales alone. The Athabasca Volunteer Fire Department is asking the Town of Athabasca for a green light on green lights. The department has asked the town to craft a bylaw that would allow green lights to be used by volunteer firefighters.
