BREAKING: At 6:06 p.m. a mandatory evacuation order was issued for the Town of Swan Hills on May 26.
Residents are to evacuate immediately.
The wild fire is now burning seven kilometers north of Swan Hills.
A reception centre is set up and located at the Allen and Jean Miller Centre located at 58 Sunset Blvd. Whitecourt, Alberta.
All evacuees are encouraged to register at the reception centre.
If you are not going through Whitecourt for evacuation, please contact 780-778-3637 to register.
A bus is located at the Keyano Centre parking lot, located at 5632 Main street in Swan Hills for those who do not have a ride to evacuate.
