Hundreds of people descended on Barrhead's downtown area on Saturday, June 17, to participate in the community's annual Street Festival celebration. Most activities took place on Main Street from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. However, some festivities strayed off the town's main drag, such as the three-on-three basketball tournament in the Barrhead and District Family Community Support Services parking lot and the 51st Avenue for the barbecue cook-off.
