Vincent Wiese has spent the past 17 years working on one thing, his health, and throughout those years he learned about the benefits of healthy eating and being active. Vince’s Gym started 15 years ago under a different name in the Barrhead Mall.

The county of Barrhead ratepayers shared their views about the possibility of amalgamation between the town and the county during the annual ratepayers meeting on March 18.

Const. Sarah Harding is new to not only the Barrhead RCMP detachment, but to the force altogether. When asked about her history with the RCMP, Harding laughed and said, it was short and sweet. “It’s a very short history because I’m new,” she said.

The Town of Barrhead hopes that construction on the new aquatic centre will begin sometime this spring. That is what Barrhead’s Chief Administrative Officer, Martin Taylor, told council during their regular meeting on Tuesday, March 10.
