Town of Westlock Fire Chief Stuart Koflick was recognized last month for his excellence and dedication to fire services, something he has been involved with since the young age of 15.

Theatre-goers from the Westlock area often have to go out of town to see shows, or wait and hope a big artists stops in this neck of the woods. Once a year, however, talents actors from right in the area get together to put on a show.

Art took focus over the weekend at Westlock’s third annual Westlock Celebrates the Arts event held in conjunction with Alberta Arts Days.

The construction of not one, but two new liquor stores in town has raised concerns among residents, Coun. David Truckey says. He brought the issue forward at the Sept. 26 council meeting after having heard concerns from several people.
