After months and miles pounding the pavement, R.F. Staples Thunderbirds football coach Jon Kramer is crossing the finish line at his first-ever marathon and raising money for the Hope Resource Centre.

Chris Koch knows a thing or two about adventure. The Nanton native has travelled to five continents, visited remote villages in Cambodia and Nepal, swam with sharks, bungee jumped in Brazil and even filmed a pilot for his own travel show.

After two years as R.F. Staples principal, Courtney Lawrance is leaving her post to become Living Waters Catholic School Division’s associate superintendent of learning this fall.

The Westlock Pioneer Museum is bringing the past to the present May 19 with the official museum season opening. To kick off Victoria Day May 22, the museum is cooking up syrupy pancakes from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
