OTTAWA — The Ottawa Redblacks have signed Canadian veteran defensive lineman Cleyon Laing to a one-year contract extension, the CFL club announced Tuesday. The 34-year-old from Edmonton was set to become a free agent after the 2025 season.

OTTAWA — The Ottawa Redblacks have signed offensive lineman Dariusz Bladek to a one-year contract extension, the CFL team announced Monday.

Mark Kilam is having no trouble getting used to his new duds. Edmonton hired Kilam last month as its head coach.

McLeod Bethel-Thompson will continue his CFL career with the Montreal Alouettes. The veteran quarterback signed a one-year contract extension with Montreal on Monday. He was slated to become a free agent Feb. 11.

WINNIPEG — Defensive end Willie Jefferson is remaining with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. The six-foot-seven, 248-pound Jefferson agreed to terms on a one-year contract extension Sunday with the CFL club.

OTTAWA — The Ottawa Redblacks signed running back William Stanback to a one-year deal on Friday and re-signed defensive lineman Lorenzo Mauldin IV to a one-year extension. Stanback had 1,175 rushing yards last season for the B.C.

REGINA — The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed veteran American quarterback Jake Maier on Thursday. The deal reportedly is for one year. Saskatchewan obtained Maier from the Calgary Stampeders last month.

HAMILTON — James Butler took full advantage of his head start on CFL free agency Thursday. The Hamilton Tiger-Cats released the veteran running back, who was slated to become a free agent Feb. 11.

VANCOUVER — Defensive lineman Tibo Debaillie signed a two-year contract extension with the B.C. Lions on Thursday. Debaillie was slated to become a free agent on Feb. 11.

REGINA — The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed Canadian linebacker A.J. Allen to a one-year contract extension, the CFL team said Thursday. The 26-year-old native of Burlington, Ont.
