REGINA — The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed Canadian defensive back Jayden Dalke to a one-year contract extension Wednesday. The six-foot-one, 200-pound Dalke was slated to become a free agent in February. Dalke, of Leduc, Alta.

HAMILTON — The home of the CFL's Hamilton Tiger-Cats will soon have a new name.

MONTREAL — The Montreal Alouettes signed Canadian defensive lineman Lwal Uguak to a one-year extension Wednesday. The deal keeps Uguak with Montreal through the 2026 season.

OTTAWA — The Ottawa Redblacks signed American defensive lineman Bryce Carter to a two-year contract extension Wednesday. The six-foot, 250-pound Carter was slated to become a free agent in February.

This wasn't how Cody Fajardo saw his tenure with the Montreal Alouettes ending. Montreal dealt the 2023 Grey Cup MVP to the Edmonton Elks on Tuesday for the rights to veteran quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson, a two-time CFL champion.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders received the top grades in the CFL Players' Association's first-ever team report cards.

HAMILTON — The Hamilton Tiger-Cats hired Brent Monson as their defensive co-ordinator Tuesday. Monson, a Hamilton native, joins the Ticats after 15 seasons with the Calgary Stampeders, the last six as their defensive co-ordinator.

REGINA — The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed Canadian offensive lineman Noah Zerr to a one-year contract extension Tuesday. The six-foot-six, 325-pound Zerr, from Langenburg, Sask.

OTTAWA — Defensive lineman Deionte Knight was among four Canadian players signed by the Ottawa Redblacks on Tuesday. The six-foot-three, 278-pound Knight split last season between Toronto and Hamilton.
