REGINA — Saskatchewan Roughriders defensive lineman Micah Johnson doesn't see there being any added pressure despite the playoff implications in Saturday's game against the B.C. Lions.

TORONTO — Edmonton Elks quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson was fined for the third time this season by the CFL for another violation of its code of conduct Friday.

WINNIPEG — The fire inside Brady Oliveira is burning a bit hotter this week, which could spell trouble for the Toronto Argonauts.

CALGARY — The Calgary Stampeders named receiver Marken Michel as this year's recipient of the Herm Harrison Memorial Award on Thursday. The honour, established in 2013, recognizes outstanding community service.

TORONTO — The 2024 Grey Cup will be broadcast south of the border by CBS Sports Network. The CFL's championship game will be held Nov. 17 at B.C. Place Stadium in Vancouver.

Trevor Harris and the Saskatchewan Roughriders seem to be catching fire at the right time. Saskatchewan (8-7-1) chases a fourth straight win Saturday when it hosts B.C. (8-8) in the battle for second in the West Division.

OTTAWA — The Ottawa Redblacks signed American quarterback Tyrie Adams to a one-year contract extension Wednesday. Adams, 27, hasn't thrown a pass in 2024 after suffering a season-ending knee injury in 2023 against Edmonton.

TORONTO — He's set a career high for receptions and is closing in on new rushing mark but Ka'Deem Carey's biggest accomplishment this season has been staying healthy.

TORONTO — Deatrick Nichols of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Nathan Rourke of the B.C. Lions were named the CFL's top performers Tuesday. Nichols, a veteran defensive back, earned top defensive honours with a grade of 92.3.
