EDMONTON — As the Edmonton Elks and Calgary Stampeders prep for Saturday’s Labour Day Classic rematch, the fortunes of their veteran quarterbacks are trending in opposite directions.

MONTREAL — B.C. Lions head coach Rick Campbell believes Nathan Rourke is just getting rolling since returning from the NFL last month.

Vernon Adam Jr. is back practising with the B.C. Lions but Canadian Nathan Rourke will remain the club's starting quarterback. Rourke will make a fourth straight start Friday night when B.C. (6-6) visits the Montreal Alouettes (10-1).

TORONTO — Edmonton Elks quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson and defensive back Webb of the Ottawa Redblacks were the top offensive and defensive performers in the CFL's weekly honour roll Wednesday. Bethel-Thompson earned a grade of 90.

Tim White enters the Hamilton Tiger-Cats' bye week on a nice roll. The fourth-year receiver had six catches for 180 yards and two touchdowns in Hamilton's crucial 31-28 Labour Day win over the Toronto Argonauts on Monday.

CALGARY — A memorable performance by receiver Tevin Jones led the Edmonton Elks to a big Labour Day Classic victory.

HAMILTON — Bo Levi Mitchell is still unbeaten on Labour Day. Mitchell threw for 347 yards and two TDs as the Hamilton Tiger-Cats earned an exciting 31-28 win over the Toronto Argonauts on Monday.

CALGARY — Dave Dickenson is a little uneasy heading into Monday’s Labour Day Classic between his Calgary Stampeders and the Edmonton Elks at McMahon Stadium.

REGINA — From their post-game reactions, it was difficult to detect that the Winnipeg Blue Bombers moved into a share of first place in the CFL’s West Division on Sunday.

HAMILTON — It's an anniversary Scott Milanovich would much rather forget. On Monday, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats will host the archrival Toronto Argonauts in the annual Labour Day clash.
