EDMONTON — The Edmonton Elks are 0-6 and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats are 1-5 this season, sitting at the bottom of the CFL standings.

OTTAWA — The Ottawa Redblacks have much to celebrate after an impressive 33-6 win over the Calgary Stampeders Friday night. Ottawa is 4-0 at home for the first time since 1978.

TORONTO — Janarion Grant is already providing the Toronto Argonauts huge returns just six games into his tenure. The speedster has recorded special-teams TDs in three straight games — two on punt returns and one from a kickoff.

MONTREAL — Davis Alexander made a point to stay ready. With his team in a big hole, the Alouettes third-string quarterback didn't blink when his number was called.

OTTAWA — Dru Brown has the Ottawa Redblacks in unfamiliar territory. Ottawa (4-2) hosts the Calgary Stampeders (3-3) on Friday night.

TORONTO — A second condemnation of the CFL schedule has earned Edmonton Elks quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson another fine. The CFL announced Thursday it was penalizing Bethel-Thompson for a second violation of its code of conduct.

OTTAWA — Jeremiah Masoli is back on the Ottawa Redblacks roster. Masoli was listed as the third quarterback on Ottawa's depth chart Thursday. The Redblacks (4-2) host the Calgary Stampeders (3-3) on Friday night.

The Montreal Alouettes return from the bye week without Cody Fajardo. The veteran quarterback won't play Thursday night when Montreal (5-1) hosts the Saskatchewan Roughriders (5-1) in a battle of division leaders.

MONTREAL — The Montreal Alouettes will be minus a key piece when they return to action Thursday on the heels of a humbling loss and a much-needed bye week.
