Redwater RCMP on lookout for Thorhild thieves

Cops say pair stole $300 worth of merchandise from store

THORHILD – Redwater RCMP are asking for the public’s help to track down a couple who walked out of a Thorhild store without paying for $300 worth of merchandise.

At approximately 9 a.m. Nov. 19, RCMP received a report that a man and woman stole several items from a business located on Second Street between Second and Third Avenue in the hamlet.

The preliminary investigation revealed the suspects entered the store together — the man left first and went to a parked vehicle.  A short time later the woman, after receiving assistance, left the store without paying for the goods and joined the man.

The vehicle is described as a silver Buick sedan with Alberta licence plate BXY-6505 — the plate was previously stolen from Edmonton.

Redwater RCMP are asking the public for their assistance in relation to this incident (or identifying those responsible) as the investigation continues and no arrests have been made. If you can help call the Redwater RCMP at 780-942-360, or if you wish to remain anonymous contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), online at www.P3Tips.com or by using the “P3 Tips” app available through the Apple App or Google Play Store.
