The Barrhead Orioles played a great game of baseball against the visiting Parkland Twins, on Thursday, May 12, where despite three pitching changes and an incredible amount of teammate motivation by the Twins, the Orioles won 12-4.

The North Central Alberta Baseball League and Baseball Alberta are putting the call out for umpires.

Timely hitting, quality pitching and all-around heads up baseball was the difference for the Westlock Red Lions in their home opener on Wednesday, May 11.

After two hard-fought days, it was the Handsome Devils who reigned victorious over the Big Bear Bandits at the 5th annual Legends Bannock Cup, held in Calling Lake from April 30 to May 1.

The Barrhead Bantam Orioles were in control of the game from start to finish. On Saturday, May 7 the Orioles defeated the Spruce Grove Parkland Twins in their first home game of the season, 7 to 3.

R.F. Staples School will have representation at badminton provincials next weekend, with a familiar face earning silver at zones, and in doing so, securing a provincial berth.

It was an even-steven weekend for the Westlock Junior Rock who kicked off their season with a two-game split during a two game home stand on Friday, April 29 and Sunday, May 1 at the Rotary Spirit Centre.
