The Athabasca Aces are getting hot at just the right time. With two wins and an overtime loss in their last three games, they have collected five of a possible six points as the regular season winds down.

The Barrhead Senior Jags hosted a tournament over the weekend, where the boys successfully powered through their games to take a golden win. Coming into the tournament, the boys had only played one game this season.

The Barrhead Curling Rink was full of action over the weekend, as 16 teams competed in the 2013 Ladies Bonspiel. For the second year in a row, the victory was claimed by local team Marg Jones, Kim Luciuk, Kelsey Mccracken, and Sandy Holowaychuk.
