Two Barrhead curling teams have qualified for the 55 Plus Winter Games in Calgary in Feb. after a tournament in town over the weekend. Teams, which ranged from Barrhead, to Athabasca, to Spruce Grove, gathered at the Barrhead Curling Club to compete.

The Barrhead Seniors Gryphons went Christmas treasure hunting on the Dec. 21-22 weekend. When the Hinton Rookies hosted their annual basketball tournament, the Gryphons searched for gold. And they were not disappointed.
