The vast majority of games on the North Central Alberta Baseball League schedule were cancelled last week due to wet conditions, including the Westlock Red Lions game in Sherwood Park July 19 tilt against the Athletics.

It was not the best way to start the morning. When Gordon Manuel, Paddle River Golf course grounds superintendent, arrived for work the morning of July 15, he found out that he would have more work than he originally planned for.

Kylie Dubovsky came home to the Busby-area from B.C. earlier this month as a national reserve champion in dressage. Dubovsky, 15, came in second at the training level in the Canadian National Dressage competition held in Terrace, B.C.
