Team Kearns swept to the ‘A’ event title at the Westlock Curling Club Men’s Bonspiel held March 8-10.

The Pembina Ringette Association’s U16 Royals gave it their all, but failed to post a win at the Alberta U16 ‘B’ Ringette Provincial Championship.

The Barrhead Midget Steelers won the first game of the 1660 League Tier I Midget Championship in dramatic fashion defeating the Slave Lake Thunder 3-2 March 8 at home.

It is all about moving forward as swimmers and as an organization.

The Heartwood Folk Club is getting set for the second show of their spring season March 9 with Tri-Continental, a band bringing blues, roots and world music together.

The Pembina Ringette Association is sending three teams to provincials next weekend, including the U16B Royals, which will host 11 other teams at the Rotary Spirit Centre and in the Thorhild Agriplex.

It has been a season of transition for the Quintillio siblings. However, for one of them, the transition has been a little more difficult.

All said, the 2018-2019 Barrhead Swim Club winter season has been a success, although it hasn’t been without its challenges.
