Hockey fans may remember Dr.

It took three attempts, but the Barrhead Composite High School Gryphons finally won gold at a prestigious basketball tournament hosted by St. Augustine School in Ponoka.

It was do or die for the Barrhead Atom Icehawks. The club needed to defeat the Whitecourt Wolverines by two goals if they wanted to continue their quest to reach the Atom ‘A’ Provincial Championships in Peace River in mid-March.

The Williams family from Fort Assiniboine once again dominated the Parent Link annual cub car race, winning both the children and adult races.
