ARNDT, Marvin Laverne
On December 31st, 2022, Marvin Laverne Arndt of Westlock, AB passed away with his loving wife Hilda and family by his side.
He is survived by his wife Hilda married for 47 years, kids Brian (Dwayne), Kevin (Nancy), Donna and Heather (Dean); grandkids: Kellen, Kristina, Jared, Laura, Matthew, Haley and Kayla; great grandkids: Willow, Millie, Poppy and Harper, his sister Audrey.
He was predeceased by his parents Allan and Theophelia Arndt, and his brother Ken.
Marvin was born on August 28, 1933 in Bruderheim. His family moved to Westlock when he was 10 years old and he lived on the farm until he was 87 years old. Marvin farmed all his life and later on had a keen interest in restoring antique tractors, working with horses and spending time with his grandkids. He always worked hard right until he left the farm and despite numerous physical ailments he never complained, he loved telling stories and teasing the grandchildren.
A service was held at the Alliance Church in Westlock on Saturday, January 7th, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, in memory of Marvin, donations can be made to the Westlock Tractor Museum Box 5414, Westlock, AB T7P 2P5.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to Dr. Coulson and Dr. Mydeen and all the staff at the Westlock Hospital and Smithfield Lodge, the care and support you gave Dad will always be remembered.
