Marion Janet Arthurs
The family of, Marion Janet Arthurs of Westlock AB is saddened to announce her passing on Oct 1, 2022 at the age of 78 years. She passed away at the Westlock Hospital after a lengthy illness with her husband by at her side. Marion was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and all her family and her many friends in both Canada and the USA will surely miss her. Marion always had a kind word and a captivating smile for everyone she met. A retired RN of more than 35 years, an avid quilter, sewer and snowbird, she has left a lasting mark on everyone she met.
Marion leaves behind her husband Nathan of 32 Years, her son Scott (Melinda Quan) Routledge, Lisa (Ross) MacDonald, Janet (Stephen) Caudle, and two step children, Michael (Jill) Arthurs, and Elizabeth (Shane) Dow. Marion also leaves behind 8 grand-children and 6 great grand-children. Marion also leaves behind a multitude of USA friends who spend the winter months in Yuma AZ.
Marion was born and raised in Glace Bay, NS, daughter of pre-deceased parents William Ralph and Louise Hiscock.
A private family grave-side service will be held sometime next summer and burial will take place in a family located cemetery in Avoca QC.
If anyone wishes, a Memorial Donation may be made in Marion’s name to a charity of their choice.
The family wishes to send a special thank-you to the staff at the Westlock Hospital and the Royal Alexander Hospital in Edmonton. Your care and support for Marion during these difficult times, will always be appreciated and remembered.
