BEAVER, Norma A.(Nee: Herman)
The family of Norma A. Beaver of Westlock, Alberta is saddened to announce her passing on October 04, 2022 at the age of 90 years. Norma was the 10th child of 10 born in Italy Cross, Nova Scotia November 15, 1931.
Her chosen profession was nursing, and she completed her nursing training in the fall of 1953. She worked as a Registered Nurse in numerous places from the Yukon, Northern Alberta, Saskatoon and Sioux Lookout Ontario. Sioux Lookout was also the place where she married the love of her life, Dawson, December 10th 1953. Mom remained married to Dawson and was able to celebrate 55 years of marriage before he passed away in 2009. Norma remained very active with Church activities and many other organizations throughout her lifetime. She continued to live independently in her home until the last couple of months. She passed away after a short period of illness.
She will be missed by her family, sons: Keith (Angela), Glen (Sandra), Roy (Sue); Scott (Terry); daughter, Carol; grandsons, Justin (Danielle), and Jason; granddaughters: Jennifer (Eytan), Kennedy, Nicole, Cheyenne, & Danielle; great-grandchildren, Josephine and Lila; sisters: Bernice and Audrey; sister-in-law, Charlotte, as well as numerous relative’s and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband Dawson Beaver and her parents Robie and Olive Herman.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at Westlock Funeral Home.
It was Mom’s wish that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Philips Anglican Church Memorial Fund.
