Ron Despins

It is with profound sadness that the family of Ron Despins of Edmonton, Alberta announce his sudden passing on April 6, 2022, at the age of 57.

Ron will be dearly missed by his wife of 31 years Sue; sons Aaron, Mitchell, and Scott (Megan); stepfather Alphonse Ringuette; father Omer Despins (Karen); siblings Raebelle (Al), Flora (James), Malcolm (Elizabeth), Ray (Lyssa), Ian (Chantall), Allan (Shannon), Bernadette (Dave), and in-laws Gib and Muriel Behiel, Craig Behiel (Lonnie), Karren Kossey (Brian) and Brad Behiel (Pookie) and many nieces, nephews, friends, and relatives. Ron was predeceased by his mother Rachel Ringuette and Grandmother Flora MacInnes.

Ron was a kind, loving husband, and father, who faced every day with a smile and witty sense of humor. He was a rock to his friends and family and would give the shirt off his back to help a neighbour or friend in need. Ron and Sue loved to host a good party and Ron took pride in being the bar-b-que master. He was an extremely hard worker and always up for a good challenge. Ron was the proud owner of Indigo Construction Services Ltd. and will be missed by so many.

A celebration of life was held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 16th, 2022, at the Westlock and District Community Hall located at 10711 104 Avenue Westlock Alberta. To view livestreamed service visit: westlockfuneralhome.com.
