Fagnan, Troy
1978 – 2022
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved son, Troy Hamilton Peter Fagnan. He left this world unexpectedly on August 27, 2022 in Fort McMurray at the age of 43.
Troy was born and raised in Fort McMurray. After graduating high school, he went to work for North American Construction. Shortly thereafter he was hired on by Syncrude Canada where he worked until his passing. He loved his work and pursued it with a passion starting as a heavy hauler and gradually advancing to shovel operator. In 2008 he met Jaime Harris and in 2009 his daughter Chloe Anne was born. Troy and Jaime were married in 2010 but unfortunately the union didn’t last. In the following years Troy dedicated his life to his daughter and his work. Then along came Ashley who stole his heart and filled him with such joy. They were planning on building a life together when he was taken from us.
Troy left a huge imprint on this world with his passion for life, compassion for others and his love of his family. Troy will never be forgotten by anyone whose lives he touched.
He will be lovingly remembered by the light of his life, his daughter Chloe Anne Fagnan; his loving parents, Rolly and Merle Fagnan; his soulmate, Ashley Turnquist; his sister, Suzanne Bitz; two nieces, Shaelyn and Ashley Bitz; nephew, Jaden Bitz. He was predeceased by his little angel Emily Rose Fagnan on July 23, 2012 as well as his paternal grandparents Aurelie and Phillip Fagnan and his maternal grandparents Linda and Peter Campbell.
A Celebration of his life will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Friday, September 16, 2022 at Our Lady of Victory Church in Vimy, Alberta.
