20th April 1949 - 9th September 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Edward, surrounded by his family, after a hard-fought battle with Multiple Myeloma.
Edward, the youngest of six children, is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Jane; son, Justin (Ashley); daughter, Morwenna (Jesse); grandchildren: Austin, Troy, Aiden, Avalynn, Octavia, Charlie, Thomas and great-grandson, Colden. Edward was predeceased by his beloved son, Robert; parents, Thomas and Dorothy; siblings, Richard, Evelyn, Margie.
Edward and Jane emigrated from England in 1975, settling first in Granum Alberta and then moved to the Busby area in 1984 where they raised their three children. Edward was a published author (Nailed it, the story of the Granum Gripper) and was well known and respected for his political beliefs and opinions writing many letters to the editor for the opinion pages of the local newspaper. He will also be remembered for his amazing storytelling abilities and the wonderful Guy Fawkes celebrations that were an annual event held every year at the Goodliffe family farm.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Edward’s memory at 3:00 p.m., on Sunday, October 2nd at the Memorial Hall in Westlock.
