Graling, Ramona (Noni) Marlene
With heavy hearts and great sadness, we announce the passing of our wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and auntie Noni Graling of Smith, Alberta on December 3, 2023, at the age of 77.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Butch, daughters, Wanda (Jim), Bev (Tom), son, Johnny (Gloria), grandchildren, Pam (Bryar), Maria, Connor, Cody (Danica), Kyle, Adam, and Katie. Brothers Fred (Nora), Jimmy (Millie), Danny (Louise), Tracy (Dorey), Dean (Kathy), sister, Shannon (Dwaine), brother-in-law Gordie, brothers-in law Vern (Yvonne), Billy (Holly), Terry (Berna), sisters-in-law Viv (Rob), Jackie and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
She is predeceased by her father, Doug McConaghy, mother Vera, father-in-law Claude, mother-in-law Gertie, sisters Karen and Darlene, brother Bill, brothers-in-law Dean, Bill, Melvin and Terry, sisters-in law Glenda, Darlene and Irene.
Noni was an important member of our community and will be sadly missed. Noni opened Needful Things in 1996 and spent many years before and after that feeding her family and everyone else she came across. Noni loved to sew and began in early years creating clothing for her family and loved ones and later, moving on to quilting, which she loved to gift to all her family and friends.
A celebration of life was held at the Smith Community Complex on December 16, 2023.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Spiral of Life Cancer Support Group (Box 385, Smith, AB (T0G 2B0) which was founded by her sister Karen in the early 90’s, STARS Air Ambulance or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
