Reginald (Reg/Rex) Hewitt
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Reginald (Reg/Rex) Hewitt on April 2nd, 2024, at the age of 71. Reg had an affinity for woodworking, a love of fishing and a continuous hope of seeing the Oilers once again win the cup.
Reg is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Linda, his two children Shawn and Ashley, son-in law Chris, as well as his two grandchildren Rowyn and Erik. Rex also leaves behind his sister Claire (Fred), sister-in-law Sandra (Dwaine), brother-in-law Gary (Ruth), his nieces and nephews, Jeff, Jenn, Amber, Jodie, Chandra, Anthony, Kyla, Warren as well as numerous cousins, aunts and uncles, great nieces and nephews.
Reg is predeceased by his dear parents Dorothy and Aubrey Hewitt, his brother-in-law Fred Torvalson as well as his mother-in-law Dora Harding and father-in-law Anton Borg. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A private memorial for Rex will be held on May 25, 2024. His ashes will be laid to rest in the Bon Accord cemetery.
