CARTWRIGHT, HOWARD
1928 - 2019
Howard Edward Cartwright, of Bow Island, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 13, 2019, at the age of 91 after a brief stay due to illness in the Bow Island Hospital. Howard was born in Barrhead, AB on January 10, 1928. Howard and his wife, Donna moved to Bow Island in 2002 to be close to family. For the past 12 years, Howard has been a resident of Pleasant View Lodge in Bow Island where he enjoyed playing bingo and visiting with anyone who might happen to walk through the front doors. He was predeceased by his wife of over 30 years, Donna (Colborne) Cartwright; his parents, Ellsworth and Zaney (Davis) Cartwright; brothers; Roy Cartwright, Lester Cartwright, and Jim Cartwright. Howard leaves behind to remember him fondly; three daughters; Laura Bourgeois, Cora Munroe and Angela Cartwright; two step-sons; Danny Simard and Dennis MacAloney; two step-daughters; Bernice DeLeenheer and Evelyn MacAloney; brothers; Sam Cartwright and Pat Cartwright; sisters; Mazie Moebes and Levis Rondeau and a multitude of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends. Howard’s smile and boisterous “Hello’s and Good Morning’s” will be greatly missed by many. The family will hold a private Celebration of Life near his birthplace of Barrhead, at Freeman River, during the summer of 2020 as per Howard’s wishes. We love you Dad - Rest in Peace.
