INMAN-HUNT, Ruby (Beck)
September 29, 1918 – November 2, 2020
Ruby Inman-Hunt passed away peacefully on November 2, 2020, at the Westlock Continuing Care Centre at the age of 102.
Ruby will be lovingly remembered by her grandson Akira Inman (Sahra) and great-granddaughter Saya of Norway, Beth and Tom McMorin of Edmonton, Marie Hunt of Westlock, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Ruby was the oldest of seven Beck children, all of whom predeceased her. Ruby’s siblings were Edna (Dalt Torrance), Violet (Lloyd Proudlove), Vivian (Wayne Crowder), Howard (Eileen), Melvin (Mable), Cliff (Marie).
She was predeceased by her first husband Everon Inman, and son Gerald Inman. Later Ruby married Alfred Hunt who also predeceased her.
Ruby was a long-time dual member of the Order of the Eastern Star having joined the Vermilion Chapter in 1960 and later joining Pembina Valley Chapter in Westlock. She was also an active member of the Westlock Legion. Ruby loved to shop, travel, bake and entertain and always enjoyed visits with family and friends.
Ruby’s family is very appreciative of the kind and dedicated care given to her by the Westlock Continuing Care Staff. She loved their attention and willingness to include her in day to day activities. Thank you as well to Dr. DaCunha for his excellent medical care, and to all her friends who came to visit and brighten her days.
In light of Covid gathering restrictions and in the interest of safety, a service will be held at a later date with interment of ashes at the Islay Community Cemetery in Islay, AB.
Donations gratefully accepted in memory of Ruby can be made to the Westlock Legion, Westlock Continuing Care Centre Comfort Fund or to a charity of choice.
