Ernest David Lazzer
September 27, 1933 - August 5, 2025
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dad, Ernie.
Dad passed away peacefully at Barrhead Healthcare Centre at the age of 91.
He was predeceased by his loving wife of over 58 years, Deanna Lazzer, his mother and father, Louise and Frederico Lazzer, his sister, Marie, brother-in-law, Jack Wright, as well as many brothers and sisters-in-law. Also by his dear friend, Gloria Paquette, and many other friends.
He will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Glen (Kate) Lazzer, Keith (Hayley) Lazzer; niece, Debbie Hoyda; nephew, Dale Wright; as well as many other family and friends.
Ernie was a respected businessman in Barrhead for many years. He and Deanna loved the country life and spent many years on their farm west of Barrhead together. Ernie and Deanna are now together forevermore.
A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, Barrhead, AB, at 10:00 am. A Christian Burial will be held following the service at the Naples cemetery. A luncheon will be provided following the burial at the church hall.
At Ernie’s request, donations would be greatly appreciated to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, C/O Grant Balen, RR1 Westlock, AB T7N 2N9. Receipts to be sent by St. Anne’s Parish. Donations will go to the maintenance of Naples Cemetery. The family would like to thank you for your presence.
