LENNIE, Hazel Agnes (Nee: Willis)
December 12, 1944 – February 12, 2021
On February 12, 2021, Hazel Lennie of Westlock, Alberta, peacefully passed away at the age of 76 years. Hazel will be lovingly remembered by her son: Curtis Lennie of Devon, Alberta; daughters: Joy (Elden) of Hondo, Alberta, and Marcy (Kim) of Morinville, Alberta; sisters: Evelyn Guenette and Arlene Lafrance; brothers: Gordon Willis and Vern (Loretta) Willis, as well as 11 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and extended relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Charles Lennie; her parents, Verna Willis and William (Bill) Willis, mother-in-law Eva Lennie; brother-in-laws: Lloyd Lafrance and Lawrence Guenette, and sister-in-law: Karen Willis.
Hazel was born in Chisholm, Alberta. She spent her life as a loving mother, devoted wife, and had many hobbies to include sewing, gardening, and fishing. Later in life, she enjoyed working part-time as a baker and taking vacations with her sisters.
Due to current COVID restrictions, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date as per her wishes. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Hazel Lennie’s name to the Smith Spiral of Life Cancer Support Group or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
The family wishes to send a special thank-you to Dr. Coulson, Dr. Mydeen, Dr. Paish, and the nurses of Westlock Hospital West Wing. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
