MEASURES, Charles Edward
It is with great sadness, the family of Charles Edward Measures announces his passing on August 10, 2021. With the care and guidance of the Renal Transplant at U of A Hospital 2003, he was able to be with us for another 18 years.
Survived by spouse Florette, daughter Debbie (Lawrence), sons Allan (Mae), Dwight, Scott (Brittany), grandchildren, Derian (Nick), Peyton (Missy) and 4 step grandchildren. Sibling sister Ila, brother John, sister-in-law Elsie, and many nieces and nephews. Born in the post office in Pickardville, moved to the family farm at Manola. Many happy memories were spent in the river swimming, having “(Barnum & Bailey)” circuses with nieces, nephews and neighbors and all the animals on the Farm. Many miles were spent travelling to hockey and baseball games with his boys. Always and constant in his life, he referred “Lily” as his adopted daughter. Our thanks to Dr. F Wepner for all his care and kindness for Charlie for many years. At his request, no funeral service will be held. Cremation has taken place.
