Jim Mechalchuk

It is with great sorrow that we share the passing of Jim Mechalchuk at the age of 86 years.
Jim is lovingly survived by his wife of 60 years Evelyn, son Wayne (Yvonne), daughter Lynn, granddaughter Megan (Angelo), grandson Derek (Taryn) and great-granddaughter Mara.
Jim was a loving and caring man who loved being with his family and friends. He was an avid gardener who generously shared what he grew. Jim contributed countless hours to his community of Jarvie where he was born and raised and where he and Evelyn raised their family. Jim was always there whenever anyone needed a helping hand, and he could do just about anything. From cooking at the community breakfast, cutting all the grass in Jarvie, to preparing the floor curling rocks for tournaments and everything in between Jim was always there. Jim will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.
As per Jim’s wishes a private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Jarvie Community Center.
